Though Kevin Verpaele was actually born in Elmhurst, Illinois, the fact of the matter is, he has lived most of his life in various parts of Florida. He actually grew up in Merritt Island, Florida and graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1999. That is when he went on to the University of South Florida on a football scholarship. Kevin Verpaele was not just a starting safety, he was also named team captain in his senior year, certainly a great honor.

Most impressive, he was a football star, even though he was also married and raising a child at the same time. He used to leave football practice, in uniform, to pick up his oldest daughter from day care before it closed for the day, after which he would return to complete practice. Following graduation from the USF College of Education, the family moved to Melbourne, in Brevard County. Over nearly 20 years, Kevin Verpaele has managed to compile an impressive record of work experience. For example, right after college, Kevin Verpaele worked on the Space Lift Range Systems at Patrick Air Force Base as a configuration manager.
